Thanks to sponsors GEOlino and Springer Bio-Backwerk, we can again award two prizes worth 1,250 euros each. The Friese-Award, which will be given to a film for children over four and over six years by the Friese-Children’s Jury and the Mo-Award, given to a film for children over nine and over twelve years, chosen by the Mo-Children’s Jury. The best three films of the “High five!”-Competition will also be awarded with a prize by both juries. The award ceremony is set to take place in the zeise kinos on 6th of June, beginning at 2 pm.

Friese-Children's Jury 2010

Gregor Petereit, 9 years old

"I don’t know why I enjoy going to the cinema so much. Perhaps this is because my sister and my parents are huge film fans as well. Furthermore, we don’t own a TV at home, so going to the cinema is always something special."

Peer Kalle Sauer, 8 years old

“I enjoy watching films and talking about them with other kids a lot. I have already been to a shooting and I worked with a camera when we shot a film at school.”

Francisca Bebenroth, 9 years old

“I want to be part of the jury because I like good stories and like to get thrilled by films. I dream of participating in a film myself.”

Karlotta Lux, 9 years old

“I think the cinema is exciting. I like short films because you can even watch them when you have little time. You can also watch several short films in a row.”

Lucas Rowetter, 9 years old

“I enjoy watching films and commenting on them. It would be exciting to show the people I am living with what the youngest one can do.”

Mo-Children's Jury 2010

Leona Löhrke, 11 years old

“I wanted to be part of the jury because I like to watch short films and I already know many. I have been to the festival several times. I find the fantasy in many films exciting.”

Pia Engelbrecht-Bogdanov, 12 years old

“I sometimes create little films on my computer or iPod at home with my friends. I have participated in a number of film workshops in the past. My father is in a film jury as well. Now I would like to try out being in a jury myself.”

Carlotta Mülstroh, 11 years old

“I would like to be in the jury because my brother had been on it before and he loved it. I love events like this one and watching films and in the summer vacation I had been to a film class.”

Levin Dalpiaz, 11 years old

“I am very interested in films. This doesn’t mean that I am watching one every day. I would love to do that, but then there would be no time for my other hobbies.”

Jasper Leclerc, 12 years old

“I am a good filmic treasure seeker because I read a lot, have a well-developed imagination and simply enjoy watching good films. Furthermore, I often browse for music videos and other films on the Internet."
